A fantastic opportunity to join nbn , Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as a Principal Data Scientist reporting to the Head of Analytics COE, where you will help streamline and improve the quality and flow of data across the organisation, performance management and advanced analytics capabilities to support day to day operations and decision making.

A bit about you
You will have extensive experience in large commercial corporates, preferably telecommunications/networking, banking and finance, and consulting and demonstrated experience as a Product Owner delivering reporting and analytic platforms and solving business problems using data and analytics.
To be successful in this role, you will have advanced knowledge of big data analytic technologies, cloud computing and AWS.
You will bring strong knowledge of and experience in R, Python and SQL; experience with Spark, Scala and Java is an asset and experience with commercial data visualisations tools e.g. Tableau.
You will bring strong organisational skills and advanced critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills and will demonstrate the ability to translate thoughts into actionable and accountable results for the business.
An advanced degree (PHD or Masters) in Applied Math, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or any other related field. An equivalent of this requirement in working experience is also acceptable.
