Successful candidate will be a self-starter working as a part of a team that is responsible for Enterprise Business Intelligence data delivery.
The position requires strong working knowledge of the Azure Data stack (Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS), and Microsoft’s business intelligence software. Experience with relational database development (writing complex queries, creating stored procedures and converting SSIS and ETL into the Azure Data Synapse Platform. Must be able to perform business requirements gathering sessions and clearly communicate technical processes to non-technical business users of all levels within the enterprise.

Work in an Azure data warehouse environment, which includes developing database designs and architecture, data modeling and metadata repository creation
Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services, including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other services within the Azure data analytics stack framework
Works with Architects, Technical Leads and Business Teams and contributes to the development of technical designs
Lead secure data migrations & transformations to/from Peraton to our clients, customers and vendors
Develops, constructs, tests and maintains Azure Data factory flows/pipelines
Strong knowledge of various data structures and the ability to extract data from various data sources (such as Cognos, Informatica, Hyperion, etc.)
Expose data to end users for consumption such as Power BI or other data integration sources ensuring that the proper security permissions are in place
Provides technical database consultation on application development, global infrastructure, and other database administration efforts related to specific DBMS
Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of work experience focused on Azure; experience in lieu of degree will be considered
Azure Data Engineer certification
10+ years of experience in writing complex SQL queries and creating data models
Proficient with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, ability to manipulate raw data into effective visualization dashboards
Proven experience performing large data migration and transformation efforts
Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows.
Ability to work well independently and within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work
Migrated Schemas and Stored procedures from an on-Premise SQL to Synapse
Migrate current ETL and SSIS packages to Synapse
Expose data to end users using Power BI, Azure API Apps or other modern visualization platform or experience.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions and data integration
Experience with Azure DevOps and GITHub integration
Experience with machine learning models and applications
Experience with the Azure.Gov cloud
