Job Description

Technology Services (TS) is responsible for delivering all enterprise infrastructure, applications and related end user technology services across all Brookfield business groups, comprised of approximately 5,000 users.

What You Will Do:
  • Work closely with data analytics team and business stakeholders to determine the data needs from operational processes
  • Develop and implement data pipelines for optimal ELT/ETL from a wide variety of financial, treasury, CRM, and other market research data sources.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve our AWS services that support our data integration pipeline.
  • Implement ETL/ELT pipelines that transform financial and CRM datasets into enriched structured data for analysis
  • Structure data and write complex SQL queries to enable processing vast amounts of data using Python or Scala.
  • Identify and implement improvements to help keep our AWS service performance and cost optimal.
  • Load and performance test data pipelines built using the above-mentioned technologies.

Qualifications And Skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics, or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform and Python programming is required.
  • Working experience on ETL/ELT pipeline implementation using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena is required; RDS/Redshift is nice to have.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries, ETL optimization, designing, coding, and tuning data processes using Python or Scala.
  • Familiarity or experience in source code management and continuous integration practice.
  • Attention to details and strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide recommendations that drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret business requirements, analyzing, designing, and developing solutions with AWS technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills that can bring different stakeholders together on delivering solutions.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and share knowledge with others.

Nice to Have:
  • Hands-on experience with data integration platform such as Workato is highly desirable.
  • Experience with building data visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Experience with API development and management is highly desirable.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as Databricks is ideal.
