The Payroll Data Analyst directly supports the Finance department within the Payroll Team. The analyst will be responsible for providing reporting and analytics solutions to support operational initiatives and departmental needs. You will help deliver business user’s requests for timely, accurate, and reliable data and making sure the business units you support are leveraging correct data sources, appropriate business rules, and consistent calculations.
You will need to have knowledge about report writing, data models, and data visualization in order to optimize and drive business value from our data.
Using tools such as Workday, SQL (Snowflake), and Tableau, you will:
Develop expertise of Vivint payroll data and processes (as well as the processes that affect payroll) to interpret and validate data, and to troubleshoot, discover, and analyze data discrepancies.
Be able to apply functional knowledge and expertise to provide additional data maintenance and/or payroll-processing support as needed (i.e. during times of high volume).
Continuously look for, and implement, process improvement opportunities.
Must have a passion for data and desire to work with the payroll function
Experience creating Data Visualizations, Charts, and Reports.
Skilled in data modeling, architecture, and relational databases, with Database & SQL experience
Experience working in Payroll/HRIS a plus
Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization to understand requestor’s needs and to take raw information to develop reports and presentations.
Must be able to prioritize, problem solve, take initiative, maintain confidentiality of sensitive personnel information.
Proven ability to remain flexible in the face of change and changing priorities.
Excellent analytical and independent thinking skills.
Functional knowledge of using WORKDAY® a plus
Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Information Systems.
