We are looking for a passionate, detail-driven, and result-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our newly built data and analytics team in Poland.

What You Will Do
  • Design and develop data workloads on the Globalization Partners data platform, providing innovative analytics solutions to our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the design and full development life cycle of our best-in-class cloud data platform, working on all parts of the data and analytics stack from ETL and Streaming data ingestion to the transformation, storage, and analysis of data from a variety of internal and external sources
  • Build quick prototypes to refine concepts, then turn them into real production-quality features.
  • Build or implement internal tools to gather metrics and monitor the health of data workloads
  • Contribute to best practices for data and analytics workload development.
  • Diagnose and fix issues reported by internal teams and customers
  • Write unit and integration tests
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and clear code
  • Accomplish engineering and company mission by completing related results as needed
  • Support and develop software engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities
  • Work as a part of a cross-functional agile team in a collaborative environment
What We Are Looking For
  • Strong experience in developing data and analytics applications in geographically distributed teams
  • Hands-on experience in designing, developing & integrating data and analytics applications using modern architectures and frameworks, structured and unstructured data, and programming with Python
  • Hands-on SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgresSQL
  • Hands-on ETL knowledge and experience
  • Knowledge of commercial data platforms (Databricks) or cloud data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Knowledge of data catalog and MDM tooling (Atlan, Alation, Informatica, Collibra)
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent English (both verbal and written)
  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience in public cloud services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Experience with or the desire to learn how to implement machine learning / AI workloads, including the preparing of datasets, training models, and using pre-trained models
  • Data warehousing knowledge or experience
  • Experience in working with event-driven systems
