Our major client, an energy transportation company with a focus on transportation, distribution, and energy generation is urgently looking to fill a Technical Data Analyst who will be responsible for the management and support of products and services provided to the business.

You will provide critical support and knowledge using a combination of technical expertise and business intelligence to manage operational risk and assist in meeting regulatory compliance. Responsible for analyzing data, coaching, resolving issues, and developing improvements related to technical applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Programs Organization in Projects wide effort to define data and KPIs.
  • Evaluate existing data and approaches to define, collect and report on KPIs in the Programs Organization.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline data collection and harmonize approaches to create reports, metrics and dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Support new programs to stand-up standard reports, metrics and dashboards as well as work with existing programs to harmonize approach to data, reporting, metrics and dashboards.
  • Align approach to central reporting team’s methodology and data requirements.
  • Assemble, analyze and evaluate data from multiple sources. Use data to develop root cause analysis and understand opportunities for improvement in processes and cost savings.
  • Support electronic field data capture pilot project.

Criteria & Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline is required.
  • 10+ years of direct experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail orientated, organized, pro-active, and acts with a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, maintaining, and enhancing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Excel (data extraction, advanced formulas, pivot tables, add-in, etc.) and creating PowerBi reports.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, and the ability to understand how to extract data from the various systems.
