The Role
The role will be responsible for democratisation of data and ensuring Service Delivery harness the power of moving to the Cloud.
You will be expected to:
  • Understand the way that data and the cloud need to be used & exploited in Service Delivery for maximum value
  • Provide the one truth source for Data and Measures, insuring quality and integrity of the data required to deliver Service Delivery's regulatory obligations and £4bn of revenue
  • Expand the Service Delivery data catalogue and ensure that all data required is available in a consumable way across the business
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Ability to build strong relationships with senior (up to Managing Director level) stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to understand stakeholder requirements and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience building, running and managing high performing data technology / engineering teams.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and data presentation skills.
  • Experience of data engineering on cloud platforms: GCP and AWS in particular.
  • Proficient with common data engineering tools including Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Hadoop, StreamSets, Glue.
Experience in developing and scaling data technologies across big data, cloud data processing and data stores, operational and analytics databases.
