Description Of Business Unit

UK Collections & Recoveries is a newly formed team within UK Operations, responsible for the delivery and implementation of the Bank of Ireland's collections & recovery strategy, while balancing the recovery of debt with maintaining strong, positive relationships with our customers.

Purpose of the role

Develop and provide C&R reporting which circulate to all levels of management within BOI UK

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain a suite of collections and recoveries operational and portfolio MI enabling effective day-to-day management and reporting to collections stakeholders
  • Automate and streamline regular reporting processes
  • Use your collections domain expertise to analyse collections trends, provide valuable insights, and inform strategy and operational enhancements
  • Create and manage collections capacity management reporting for internal and external teams
  • Develop and operate controls to ensure integrity of reporting and maintain data quality
  • Create sustainability by maintaining complete and up-to-date procedural documentation for MI and reporting

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Excellent SAS skills - being able to manipulate large data sets from multiple sources and develop SAS code
  • Experience implementing and using Tableau / Power BI.
  • Evidence of strong collections and recoveries analysis, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Proven ability to analyse complex information and convey key points in a clear and impactful manner to a variety of stakeholders

Desirable Skills

  • Operational experience and understanding of working in consumer lending and a proven track record of working in UK collections and/or recoveries
  • Strong demonstrable experience developing and producing collections and recoveries operational reporting and insights
  • Experience developing and operating data quality and integrity controls within a regulated business
  • Proven experience building and maintaining collections capacity models for internal and/or external operations
  • Experience analysing and valuing debt portfolios for sale
