Summary:

The Master Data Analyst is responsible for executing the day-to-day activities as they relate to material, vendor, or customer master data. This role is considered an expert for one area of master data and has exposure to other master data areas. This role heavily interacts with global, cross-functional teams across the organization. This role is responsible for executing activities pertaining to data maintenance, defining and implementing data standards, and monitoring the integrity of data via audits or KPIs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keeps good documentation practice and follows the compliance guidelines
  • Develop and implement training materials and job aids for responsible areas
  • Develop and present educational master data topics to the business
  • Develop and present ideas to cross-functional teams and varying levels within the organization
  • Participate and lead some activities in problem solving and continuous improvement projects
  • Lead master data activities for small to medium scale projects
  • Support master data activities for large scale projects
  • Demonstrate ability to coach peers on processes
  • Responsible for performing regularly scheduled or one-off audits
  • Demonstrates accurate decision-making skills
  • Performs testing in quality environment of ERP/CRM system prior to execution in production
  • Ability to work in multiple systems to audit data and execute required updates
  • Ability to analyze mass data effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to form conclusions from data analysis
  • Effectively communicate simple solutions for business inquiries regarding area
  • Accountable for self-development and learns quickly with minimal support
  • Process requests in a timely manner according to defined standards, controls, or metrics

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer/Information Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration or other related fields or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office desktop tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates good communication skills and proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on data quality
  • Able to influence peers

Preferred:

  • Experience in SAP S4/HANA
  • Working knowledge of healthcare claim, provider, membership, and product relation/process/ function preferred
  • Formal training with methodical problem-solving tools
  • Experience using Winshuttle Studio
  • Experience using SalesForce.com
