Data Analyst (Quantitative Equity)

Data Analyst (Quantitative Equity) Birmingham (remote) £60,000 - £70,000 + bonus Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst (Quantitative Equity) to support a global commercial team within their analytics function. You will be focusing on Portfolio Analytics, Risk Modelling and Machine Learning to strengthen internal strategies. You will undertake research into the investment process within Equities with a view to make them more streamlined, improving and maintaining the core research framework and related tools with emphasis on portfolio optimization, risk modelling and signal research.

Data Analyst (Quantitative Equity) – What will you be doing?

• Design and developing the global quantitative equity research team systems, research notes and products.
• Improving the current suite of products and services via new analytic solutions and methods.
• Conducting explanatory analysis on ESG data and alternative data sources.
• Liaising with the Data Engineering team to build out end to end solutions.
• Deliver findings to stakeholders where necessary, articulating your findings in a simple way.
• Data visualisation and machine learning.

Data Analyst (Quantitative Equity) – What will you need?

• Educated to degree level.
• Mathematical / statistical background.
• Strong programming skills (R, Python, MATLAB)
• Prior experience of performing on an in-depth research project.
• Ability to think independently and creatively approach data analysis.
