ING Analytics is a unit responsible for realizing this vision for ING, differentiating ING as a leader in data-driven organization, within the banking sector and beyond. The team consists of a number of tribes around the bank's key domains (such as Operations, Retail Banking, Wholesale banking, etc.), local country analytics teams, as well as strong support areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, and external partnerships.

Chapter Data Analyst - Tribe Wholesale Banking Analytics
The tribe Wholesale Banking Analytics' purpose is to build and maintain analytics products for ING's Wholesale Banking domain and drive adoption and scaling of analytics products to create maximum value for ING and its customers. The Tribe is organized in multiple product delivery squads, Data Scientist Chapter, User Research Chapter and Data Analyst Chapter.
Data Analyst Chapter is to craft a set of skills and techniques used to explore data sources for the analytics product, extract insights and knowledge from the data. It encompasses activities such as collecting, exploring, cleaning, organising, visualising, and transforming data.
The Mission
We seek an enthusiastic Chapter Lead with a passion for data and people!
You will play a crucial role in creating the data-driven culture. You will be responsible for developing a data analyst team, at the same time, delivering valuable insights generating business impact.
The Chapter Lead's role is to build, manage and develop a team of data analysts and also to work as a senior data analyst in a product squad.
Your Day-to-Day
People 50%
- Participate in the recruitment of new talents
- Provide continuous coaching and mentoring - clarify common job responsibilities, set performance expectations to best deliver a product, identify areas to improve in team members' capabilities and implement improvements.
- People management of highly talented data analysts - Allocate data analysts in the right product team based on their skills, knowledge and career goal. Identify / evaluate high and low performer and provide right rewards or improvement plans. Provide right support to the team members if they struggle in their work.
- Collaborate closely with different stakeholders from IT, data science, user research, product delivery squads and business areas across Wholesale Bank organization
Data Analysis 50%
- Work as a senior data analyst and deliver high quality data analysis. Also, provide guidance to Junior and Medior level data analysts.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using programming language / software for data analysis such as SQL, Python , PowerBi and Superset.
- Explore and investigate the data sources and their availability in different data consumption systems (e.g., Data Lakes, Data Marts, Data Analytics Platform)
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to build an analytics product.
- Support business in their decision-making by providing insights driven from data
- Provide data / analytical support to the stakeholders using both analytical and business jargon (written and oral)
- Support Digitization / Automation of processes with data collection, analysis and reporting solutions
What you bring to the team:
- Experience: 2 years' experience in coordination roles and at 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, data visualization or/and statistics
- Tech stack/ knowledge:
- Mandatory:
- SQL
- Python (especially Pyspark)
- Sound experience in data analytics/visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos;
- Data reporting & statistics
- Passion in People Management and Mentoring People
- Nice to have:
- Experiences in working with Data Pipeline
- Experience in Data Analytics in the financial services industry
- Understanding in Machine Learning/AI
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, to be able to align with various stakeholders
- Ability to interpret and analyze data excellently, using standard techniques and tools
- Up to date with the latest industry standards and trends in Data Analysis
- Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching.
- Ability to apply high level analytical, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills to make actionable recommendations based on outcomes
- Ability to understand a predictive modeling used in Machine Learning/AI projects
- Language: English (advanced);
- Education: Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, Statistics
