About The Role

The Retail Reporting Team sits within the Business Support. Our mission is to deliver insightful and actionable visualisations for Retail, through reporting, analysis, and optimisation. The team works on solutions in Tableau and Microsoft products.

You will be responsible for

Responsibilities

Whilst specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the changing needs of the Tesco business, the following provides an overview of the role’s key responsibilities and measures
  • Creating impactful visualisations of data
  • Collaborating with Retail and Business Support functions to ensure visualisations are fit for purpose and insightful
  • Testing the quality of the data
  • Working with the Retail Reporting Development team to ensure data is productionised
  • Gathering feedback from users and identifying changes required
  • Creating training material and videos for visualisations

You will need
  • succeed in this role, you’ll need:
  • Experience of creating data visualisation Dashboards using BI Tools
  • Experience of building prototype visualisations in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel VBA, complex pivot tables and slicers
  • Knowledge of databases and how data is structured
  • Data-driven mind-set with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Skills in deriving insight from data and identifying new visualisations to show this

In Addition, This Experience Is Desirable
  • Experience of working with Tableau
  • Knowledge of Access VBA
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server
