The opportunity

We are currently looking for a talented data engineer to join our Data Science team in the Create organization at Unity. The team's main focus is in building and serving data products which empower many teams across the company to deliver the best experience for all our users who aspire to create in real-time 3D from games to movies, architecture and beyond.

You will join an amazing team of passionate and talented data professionals, and will work with various colleagues from different crafts across the company who are in it together to empower all creative journeys into the world of real-time 3D.

What you’ll be doing

• Working with a modern data stack and open source frameworks, scaling data science POCs into stable software products that run autonomously in production

• Have the opportunity to influence the team’s data capabilities with your cool and creative ideas

• Build and maintain cloud-based data products and services with a big impact on how we deliver value through data to Unity an our users

• Help in exponentially raising the impact of the team, by providing data capabilities and frameworks, which will continuously improve the way we work and collaborate

• Contribute and work closely with other data teams towards building a solid data foundation and workflows

What we’re looking for

• Experience with cloud and serverless computing e.g Google Cloud Platform

• Solid programming knowledge and experience - Python, Java, Scala, SQL

• Proven track record of building data products and capabilities

• Experience in building streaming and batch data workflows

• Experience in continuous integration / continuous deployment

You might also have

• Experience with distributed data processing - Spark

• Containerization (Experience with Docker and Kubernetes)

• Experience in using Airflow or other workflow schedulers, with some exposure to front-end development - JS, React
