This is a full-time position with Tecknomic and the project is with the Office of Human Rights (OHR). This is a hybrid role (onsite 4 days a week) in Washington DC. OHR is looking for a Data Analyst/IT Consultant to support the agency case management data reporting, IT support and system analysis needs

Position Overview
As a Data Analyst/IT Consultant at OHR, you will serve as a technology expert and a pivotal figure in advancing data services. You will be instrumental in analyzing, compiling, validating, and querying data related to discrimination incidents, cases, and outcomes. Your expertise in statistical analysis will illuminate trends and patterns that are critical for our mission's success. In addition to these duties, you will also serve as a business analyst driving requirements for the enhancement of a case management system at OHR. Finally, you will assist with various end user support roles as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and manage data using advanced data analysis and datamining techniques.
- Develop reports, visualizations, and dashboard applications using Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint, as well as other data mining software.
- Create and maintain metadata and data dictionaries to support data integrity.
- Write scripts to identify and resolve common data errors and inconsistencies.
- Design and implement reports with other District business intelligence tools, including MS Power BI, Tableau, and MicroStrategy.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects involving data-driven dashboard applications, requiring minimal supervision.
- Communicate complex data concepts and project requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Engage with OHR customers, managers, executives, and end users to analyze project objectives, data source systems, and data application specifications.
Minimum Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst working with MS SharePoint and Power BI.
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with users to define requirements and build out user stories and use cases for a new case management system.
- 6+ years of experience in IT support roles in a Microsoft environment troubleshooting PC and LAN related issues.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data mining, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to address diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of working independently and as a technical lead.

Responsibilities:
Gathering and understanding agency case management data for effective visualization and analysis.
Collaborating with data stewards and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes through the implementation of a business intelligence database.
Ensuring data security and compliance meets with District policy.
Analyzing information and statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by OHR staff.
Leveraging MS Power BI for an active enterprise-wide case management data migration effort.
Designing and developing MS Power BI reports and dashboards to meet the business stakeholders’ needs and integrating the reports in agency applications including the OHR Case Management System (CMS) and SharePoint.
Providing training and support to end users on using MS Power BI and SharePoint.
Keeping up to date with the latest MS Power BI and SharePoint features and trends.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or related field or equivalent experience
