What we are looking for:
We are seeking a hands on Senior/Lead Data Engineer with strong Snowflake & Talend experience to join our team & work alongside a leading government organisation.
This will be an initial 6 month contract + extensions.
Essential Skills & Experience required:
- In depth experience using Snowflake
- Strong Talend experience
- Must be able to write complex queries to create views in Snowflake and create ETL pipeline via Talend to load data from different data sources to data warehouse.
- Must know how to extract and load data, define delta/full data, define primary keys and design schemas and objects in Snowflake.
- Technical expertise to design and deliver data and analytical services including data ingestion, transformation, storage and reporting.
- Experience in developing frameworks and standards, using industry best practices, to improve the delivery and quality of products required to meet the needs of the business.
- Dealing with a diverse range of complex matters and highly conceptual issues, to recommend practical solutions, often within limited timeframes.
- The ability to develop technical and complex information into plain English to non-technical stake holders.
- The ability to offer effective technical leadership to promote and foster a high-performance culture.
