Senior Data Analyst - Growth Marketing


Bumble is expanding its analytical function and we are looking for a Senior Growth Marketing Analyst to be part of the Marketing Insights team. You will work closely with colleagues from around the business to deliver the best possible experience to our global 600+ million user base.

What does a Senior Analyst do within Bumble ๐Ÿ?


  • Manipulate complex datasets using a range of tools. Proficiency in SQL is essential, with Python/R a preferred addition
  • Responsible for bringing new ideas, and challenging the status quo of how we work, autonomy to use any tools/methodology available
  • Optimise the way we allocate multi-million marketing budget across more than 100 markets
  • Be at the forefront of company growth, and have the opportunity to help shape the future of Bumble
  • Ensure we strive towards a healthy and equitable platform encouraging diversity and equality in the users we acquire
  • Explore the latest technologies and marketing tools available and propose changes to business as usual
  • Work alongside performance and lifecycle marketing teams to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and set up self serve capabilities
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging Digital Marketing changes, and network with fellow Growth Marketing professionals ๐Ÿ™Œ


The type of profile we are looking for in a Senior Data Analyst:


  • Proven commercial experience serving as thought partner to both technical and non technical stakeholders within a marketing function
  • Keen interest in Growth Hacking with a deep understanding of digital marketing
  • Advanced SQL: The ability to optimise and efficiently extract large volumes of data
  • Python: The ability to use python to extract, manipulate and analyse data in a creative way. Experience with libraries with pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, ggplot, and scipy is a plus. (R equivalent equally a plus)
  • Ability to engage key stakeholders such as developers, marketers, product managers and senior management
  • Experience in presenting findings to varying audiences (technical and non-technical stakeholders) and catering presentation style appropriately
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a clear and concise writing style
  • Understanding of, and ability to use modelling (regression, classification, etc)


It would be ideal if the Senior Data Analyst possesses the following in addition to the above:


  • Experience leveraging Tableau/Looker/MicroStrategy or other data viz/dashboarding platforms
  • An understanding of ETL processes and data modelling
  • Mobile app experience a plus
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS or Snowflake is a plus

Brief project overview of what the Senior Data Analyst will be working on:

We want to step away from the multitude of similar, monotonous JDโ€™s ๐Ÿ˜ดโ€ฆ weโ€™ll say we are looking for experienced Senior Growth Analyst so youโ€™ll need all the typical skills youโ€™d expect, but more interestingly weโ€™d love to hear from anyone that can help us solve the followingโ€ฆ
  • You will work on a wide range of data challenges, such as post campaign analysis, optimising the paid strategy, and use of data to aid attribution post iOS14.5. In your role, you will get to work closely with a group of talented analysts as part of an open, inclusive community that aims to always be adopting the latest and best analytical techniques.
  • This role will work alongside the growth marketing teams, and world class marketers, in order to optimise the growth of Bumble inc, provide insight, and be a thought partner in campaign management. Growth marketing encapsulates UA/digital marketing, organic and CRM teams, and will predominantly work with the UA marketing team, to help with their reporting needs with the ever changing landscape of attribution, the introduction of Skadnetwork 4.0, and really be at the forefront of growth marketing.
  • You will work on a multitude of different projects, from working with engineers to set up data pipelines & reporting; to optimising spend & payback curves. An interest and experience working in growth/digital marketing is ideal.
