Data Scientist

Data Scientist Our Client is a Global bank is looking to expand their team of Data Scientists based in Peterborough which will be working on a HYBRID module. As a Data Scientist - will work with, and shape, rich and dynamic datasets to develop statistical models, algorithms, and new ways to analyse historical outcomes, accurately predict the future, solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement. You’ll work with various internal and external data sets, including claims, pricing, quotation, behavioural, and digital. The role will be suited for someone with existing data science / data statistician experience, with proven programming and database fundamentals, and exploratory analysis skills. Key Skills

• A talented and experienced Data Scientist to work in our insurance business to support and drive forward our underwriting, pricing, proposition, and data usage capabilities.
• Someone with a passion for advanced analytics and the application of machine learning techniques. You will have experience in working with different data types across a range of databases, having used your coding and data visualisation skills (e.g. Python, SQL, Tableau) to turn insight into business and customer value.
• You’ll have a qualification in statistics, computer science, machine learning, economics, mathematics, or significant experience (5 years +) in a role involving similar disciplines.
• You are well equipped with the skills to work with, and query, structured and unstructured data, and have a good understanding of machine learning techniques and methods.
• You have a keen eye for detail, are diligent in your work and are able to translate complex and multiple data sources into a presentable format.
• You’re a natural problem solver, decision focused, and collaborative in your approach; appreciating the value of different perspectives and inputs.
• Ideally, your data science experience will be from within the insurance industry and focused on underwriting, risk, or pricing. Benefits
