Staff Data Engineer

Our client is a late-stage start-up in the HR/Benefits field. Their product all revolves around ease of use. They have created a wonderful platform that makes all the aspects of an HR/Payroll/Benefits service enjoyable to use. They are looking to grow out and strengthen their engineering teams, specifically around Data Engineering!
Your Day-to-Day:

Your Day-to-Day:
- You will be responsible for building out the next generation of the data warehouse.
- You will be leading the improvement of automation and the data environments in real-time and batch
- Creating ETL processes and follow through into the data warehouse
- Mentor and coach other members of the team
- BS in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 8 years experience building data pipelines
- Extensive experience with Scala
- Experience with one other programming language like Java, Python, Go, etc.
- Skilled in the use of Apache Spark and Kafka
