Our data analysts deeply understand the power of data to generate quality customer insights, manage information and identify trends to accelerate sound business decisions.

Your skillset will enable you to source and interrogate data, working with a focus on the future, with an active understanding of industry trends to ensure capability development is aligned. You will influence strategic direction by translating insights into practical business recommendations, communicating team objectives and presenting data in digestible, logical and compelling ways.

What a typical day might look like

• Assist in sourcing, extracting and analysing data from multiple systems, applications, products and processes
• Interpret data into insights, identify patterns and trends in the dataset to communication findings to project SME’s and other stakeholders
• Communication to stakeholders and senior management to influence squad priorities
• Perform calculations and apply critical thinking to determine root cause analysis
• Assist in reports preparation based on analysis and presenting to management

What will likely be in your toolkit?

• Hands-on experience with data processing platforms, tools and techniques:
  • SQL (mandatory & proficient)
  • Traditional database management platforms (e.g. Oracle, Teradata, EBD)
  • Scripting in Python, R, Pyspark (advantageous)
• Innovation and problem solving skills
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in the use of Jira, Confluence and Git.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across various levels of the organisation.
• A strong execution mindset and ability to deliver quality outputs and manage actions within required timeframes.
• Critical thinking skills allowing you to question and investigate root cause analysis
• Knowledge of Home Loan products, processes and system knowledge would be beneficial
