Job description

The primary function of this role is to provide data management and analytics skills to deliver service reliability, service improvement and service efficiency outcomes. The role will require the use of analytical toolsets to drive insights from various data sources to enable a data driven operations. Understanding operational and financial data sources to deliver analytical visualizations, AI/ML models and delivery through to operational tuning and automations.

The role holder should have domain experience and expertise operational processes such as CSR management.

The key focus areas will be:

  • Understanding data and the ability to ensure the right use of clean data.
  • Delivering insightful visualisations.
  • Operational performance analytics.
  • Delivering AI/ML models.
  • SLA and KPI awareness.
  • Understanding ethical data use and data regulations.


Key tasks and Responsibilities

  • Problem review and understanding to deliver the right analytical approach and identifying the required data sources.
  • Cleaning and organizing data in preparation for using within analytics and modelling.
  • Accountable for delivery of analytical visualizations. Ensuring that an accurate data set is used and understanding the right type of visualization to utilize to provide visualizations, dashboards, reports for Operations.
  • Delivery of AI/ML models to enable the business to drive through the right operational changes whether this be in process, tool changes and automations.


Technical Competencies

  • Expertise in Python programming and development of AI/ML models – Essential
  • Expertise in database, analytic and automation applications, methodologies, and processes; able to manipulate data and Tableau reports to support ongoing analysis and present conclusions – Essential
  • Thorough understanding of the relevant equipment technology used within the customer networks, with appreciation of operations, performance and design considerations. – Desirable
  • Expertise in relational databases SQL/No SQL databases and Excel - Desirable
  • Good understanding of Operational Performance and Financial KPIs. – Desirable
