Data Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Engineer to join a team at an enterprise level Finance and Technology company. The Data Engineer will be supporting the next generation of products and data initiatives within the organization. This is a nearly fully remote role, in office 3-5 days per month.

Westlake, TX – Durham, NC – Boston, MA – Merrimack, NH

Responsibilities for the Data Engineer include:

• Support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists
• Engineer and assemble data sets per business requirements
• Build data infrastructure and leverage a variety of big data technologies
• API Development
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization to understand data needs

Requirements for the Data Engineer include:

• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Strong backend API Development experience
• Advanced SQL experience
• Experience with AWS cloud services - EC2, EMR, RDS, Apache, Glue
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant work experience

Compensation for the Full Stack Engineer includes:

• Salary Range: $65.00 - $80.00 hourly **depending on experience**
