Joining a talented, highly skilled and newly formed team, reporting to a newly appointed Data Engineering Manager and working on a new platform – this is a great opportunity to join us as we create our own path – you won’t just be following existing processes here – you get to think for yourself, work out what the process is and how best to execute. In addition, as we move into the more mature phases of building the date warehouse, a key focus for you will be the data migration and building exceptional stakeholder engagement to support the move from legacy systems.
This is a highly technical role, and on a day to day basis, your primary responsibilities will be the successful delivery of business intelligence information to the organisation taking ownership to:
- Engineer and model curated Data Warehouse solutions
- Build maturity and capability in relation to implementing data capture, ETL, validation and test methods
- Deliver quality data products that meet business requirements and enhance business outcomes
- Identify trends and communicate data insights
- Maintain and assist in data model documentation, data dictionary, data flow, data mapping and other MDM and governance documentation
You will be a self-starter with problem solving skills coupled with curiosity to complete deep dives into data to answer questions that are ground breaking or challenging the status quo. You enjoy using your exceptional communication skills to build relationships and credibility with stakeholders, with an uncanny ability to speak in plain language. You will be someone who delivers results through your highly advanced SQL skills, demonstrated knowledge of ETL, Data Visualisation and BI tools, and experience in the creation of database objects and statistics. Your previous experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within a financial institution, may be complemented with a relevant tertiary qualification or a software engineering background with the ability to adapt to multiple languages and you will be eager to learn – our approach is “right tool for the right job”.What we are about:
