Firefish is a multi-award winning recruitment software business (including being the UK's Best Talent Tech Company to Work For) and we’re responsible for building software that’s changing the way people recruit. Our data team are imperative to the success of Firefish, as they make sure that client data is in the right place at the right time, which is vital for recruiters. We've had an amazingly successful 18 months, and as a result we now have a great opportunity for another Data Executive to join our in-house team of data experts, taking responsibility for a variety of scripts ranging from Standard to Bespoke and learning how to run complex Data Migrations.
You’re going to love this job if:
- Thriving under pressure in a fast-paced environment, you're not phased by working on multiple projects simultaneously to ensure that no deadline is ever missed.
- You get a buzz from using ETL processes to move data from one place to another, and enjoy digging deeper to analyse and resolve issues.
- You’d like to create your own bespoke data scripts, using SQL Server to write the custom scripts before deploying them.
- You have an interest in database management techniques (such as backups, mirroring, etc) and general programming techniques.
- You want to be a data expert, fielding questions regarding client requirements, providing support for issues encountered and bringing new ideas to ensure that work can be carried out efficiently and effectively.
- You’ve got experience or you’re keen to learn SSIS/migration processes, using ETL processes of data manipulation from a variety of sources. You also love the sound of learning how to work on your own complex migration projects!
Our perfect next Fish is degree qualified and has a passion for and knowledge of SQL, ideally having worked with relational database systems (preferably SQL Server, but it may be Oracle or MySQL). You’re already able to run simple uploads and write some data scripts. It’d be great if you’ve had exposure to SSIS for data transformations! Crucially, you want to work for a SaaS product-focused company committed to world domination within the recruitment sector!
