Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Analytics business in Malmö. You will have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a relevant field and ideally work experience in the Biopharma, Pharma or Chemical industry.

Our Data Analytics business is going places – we are working on new technological challenges, improving our platforms and expanding our business globally. In this role, you will be contributing to the work of a winning team. You will be working closely with our sales and data management solutions teams and our customers across Europe.

You will be based in the South Sweden or Copenhagen, with Malmö as your work location.

What you will accomplish together with us:

  • Analysing large amounts of data and building data driven models

  • Working directly with our customers and initiating, leading and driving customer and development projects

  • Performing regular follow up with customers, ensuring projects are on track and discovering additional opportunities

  • Assessing and implementing solutions that will have a greater value with embedded advanced data analytics

  • Developing and customising applications using Umetrics Suite products, models and algorithms to create data analytic use cases

  • Understanding and adopting inventions for practical use to drive industry digitalisation forward

  • Supporting development, working independently and as part of our technical team

  • Creating technical documents

  • Developing and cultivating strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders

  • Collaborating with both teams: data scientists and developers

  • Programming with R, Matlab, Python, C/C++/C#, or cloud-based applications

  • Implementing mathematical models

What will convince us:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, informatics, biology, automation/control, etc.) or equivalent

  • Ideally strong work experience within Biopharma, Pharma or Chemical industries

  • Knowledge of programming with R, Matlab, Python, C/C++/C#

  • Knowledge and interest in implementing mathematical models in software

  • Knowledge in mechanistic modelling and/or deep learning is an advantage

  • Good at listening and understanding customer needs and strong in problem solving
