The Opportunity:
HR Data Analyst plays a role of leveraging data to improve HR functions and strategies, from recruitment, workforce planning and employee engagement to Workforce Development, Industry and Aboriginal Participation (WDIAP).
Supports strategic HR and WDIAP initiatives through the analysis of workforce data, contribution of meaningful insights, production of reports, assisting with HR related research and providing recommendations that contribute to project success.
This role will be based our Sydney CBD office.
Duties & Responsibilities
Data Collection and Processing:
- Manage and maintain HR/workforce related data and reporting.
- Manage and maintain monthly WDIAP related data and reporting and quarterly workforce forecast data.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with HRIS profiles.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports related to KPIs for key stakeholders.
Data Analysis
- Analyse headcount, turnover, and other relevant data to support strategic decision-making.
Reporting
- Key reports and analysis include completion of end-of-month reporting, monitoring, and maintaining headcount, turnover, and other people-related metrics.
- Present meaningful analysis and insights to the People team and contribute to monthly board reporting metrics.
- Assisting on preparation on monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual HR Reporting within the project and corporate requirements.
- Ensure all key monthly and quarterly reports for WDIAP are up to date and accurate, following up with JV partners if required.
Project And System Support
- Support on successful implementation of HRIS systems and processes to ensure data integrity and utilisation of reporting functionality.
- Provide training on the HRIS system and update procedures.
- Develop initiatives in reporting efficiencies including investigating system platforms, design dashboards, and key reporting requirements.
Collaboration
- Work closely with other members of the HR team, as well as with managers to understand data needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Data Governance
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in HR data management.
Criteria:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT, Statistics, Data Analytics or related discipline or extensive previous industry expertise.
- Advanced technical experience in the Microsoft suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Preferable 2 years’ related experience
- Ability to work with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs such as MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Experience in building Power BI dashboards would be advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge in Excel formulas.
- Demonstrate experience in data modelling and data cleansing from various data sets to ensure quality and accuracy of reporting content.
- Able to effectively set priorities and meet deadlines across a diverse workload of changing deliverables.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong quality orientation and continuous improvement focus.
- Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
