The Product Operations team is recruiting a dynamic and self motivated Data Scientist to be our in SME in data analytics, using data to optimise processes and to support the business in decision making. You will support data systems to know where to seek for opportunities and to make recommendations to Management based on this data. You will be skilled at creating analytical models, interactive visualisations and dashboards.
Critical success factors for this role is the ability to gain alignment by building relationships and developing linkages across the various Data teams, Analytics teams, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning teams in Apple. You will work out of Apple's EMEIA Headquarters in Cork with some travel required to support the role. Key Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Excellent knowledge of SQL, Python, Shell scripting & Tableau Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are crucial, with ability to operate comfortably in a fast paced and dynamic environment at all levels. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, problem resolution and analytical skills. Ability to seek out business opportunities on their own initiative. Proven application and theoretical understanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection Experience with applying classical time series analysis and forecasting methods Experience with data encryption and data security standards Communicate and present analytic findings in a compelling manner.
Highly skilled in Data sourcing, Statistical analysis, Data analytics, visualisation and presentation techniques. Capability to perform pattern and anomaly detection techniques on data sets with opportunity to apply into a factory environment (machine learning) would be an advantage Knowledge of relational databases and data modelling (Teradata, Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL experience a plus) Experience with machine learning libraries such as sklearn and deep learning frameworks such as pytorch, tensorflow or their high level APIs (e.g. Keras, FastAI) would be an advantage. Experience working in a high volume manufacturing environment across different geographies would be a distinct advantage Description - Use analytical tools to analyse this data to determine compelling business and quality opportunities.
- Deep dive into complicated data sets and provide easy to understand dashboards for on-going use by the Product Operations functions. - Use the data sets to provide Simulation analysis for existing or new processes and look at various what if” scenarios and opportunities for improvement. - Provide the product operations functions with Predictive analysis outcomes which can assist to inform the teams on future plans and strategy. - Provide general Statistical analysis services and know how to the Product Operations functions.
Education & Experience - Bachelors degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science or Mathematics. Additional Requirements
