As a Data Scientist GreenWave you will work in one of the few places in the Netherlands where you can literally look out of the window and seeing your software have direct impact. You are part of our operational excellence mission. How exactly you accomplish this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you Envision the total concept even before it is actually there. You put your talents to work at:

  • Work together with the Product Owner and the rest of your multi-disciplinary team translate business problems to sustainable data science solutions.
  • Do experimentation to help improve the suggestions for timeslots.
  • Experiment on extending the algorithm to include other parts of the Schiphol passenger journey.
  • Work with various datasets to implement models in a highly complex environment.
  • Take ownership with getting a project from PoC to implementation.

Working as a Data Scientist for Team GreenWave will allow you to make a real impact on the operational performance by perfectly align demand capacity.

Also, you are the talent who analyses and double-checks your work (and if necessary that of others) in detail. In addition, for this position you have:

  • Minimum 3-4 years experience as a data scientist using Python.
  • Experience in going beyond modeling prototyping, so also with implementation.
  • Pro-active team player with attention to detail. You'll land in a multi-disciplinary team with a product that touches a large part of our organization.
  • MSc or PhD in a relevant field, like mathematics, physics, computer science, operations research or econometrics.
  • Communicative skills: fluent in English is a must. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
  • Ideally experience in Databricks / Azure.
  • Ideally experience with Openshift / Kubernetes.
  • Ideally experience with causal interference.

  • € 4744 to € 6582 gross per month (Schaal 12).
  • The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
