As Lead Data Analyst, you’ll lead the Insights Team and provide insights and analytics that will drive the decision making and strategy of the Personalisation team.
Over time you’ll also have the opportunity to help set the analytics vision of the whole Machine Learning Services Area and provide direction, guidance and coordination to other teams.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Coach team members and implement processes and best practices to help the team scale up quantitative insights and data analysis
Produce detailed reports and dashboards to support the business
Help define complex A/B tests to prove product hypotheses
Work with counterparts in our marketplaces to understand the end-to-end business impact and identify any data gaps
Help the leadership team of the Machine Learning Services Area make business decisions on investment and prioritisation based on data
Be an ambassador of a data-driven culture, helping product, engineering and UX colleagues to become more self sufficient when analysing data
Help the Experimentation Area build the Experimentation platform and curated datasets by providing key information that will drive their roadmap
Statistics and analytics: deep knowledge of statistical methods with experience in AB testing and data visualisation tools like Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.
Tools: Python/Scala, Jupyter Notebook and SQL.
Methodologies: experience working with product teams and Agile methodologies.
Strong understanding of performance, scalability and implementation constraints.
Proactive and can do attitude - you persevere, challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvements.
Empathetic team player who believes the success of the group brings more value than individual success. Previous successful experience of team management is highly desirable.
Strong stakeholder management skills, used to collaborating in big and complex environments
Great communication skills in English, as you will be an ambassador of our area
You’re up to date with the latest data standards and practices
You bring energy and humor to the team, and help us to have fun!
Other desirable skills:
Experience in e-commerce data analysis
Experience in designing events and tagging for analytics
Understanding of Machine Learning algorithms
Experience with Apache Spark and/or AWS cloud platform
