ROLE SUMMARY:
Labatt's Machine Learning and Applied Science team is responsible for building competitive differentiated solutions that transform our business, continuously optimize our processes, improve profitability, and save costs across different parts of our company. We are looking for outstanding data scientists to join our team. As a data scientist, you will work at the intersection of methods in the realm of statistical/econometric modeling and/or machine/deep learning techniques, using deep business expertise to tackle real problems. As an added bonus, you will spend time reviewing ongoing academic research in this area and work on applying them to your work.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Building data science solutions that meet a certain threshold of difficulty to solve business problems, such as assortment optimization, price and promo optimization, forecasting, demand planning, supply and logistics, experimentation, omni-channel analytics
- Detailing your thought process and crafting artefacts to share with business for approval
- Building code that builds reproducible results and is written as per team’s design practices
- Reviewing methodology and code developed by peers
- Collaborating with others to advance the team’s ability to build quality solutions and adapt quickly
- Mentoring and coaching team members to continuously upskill them
- Communicating and presenting your results to the business in a clear, concise manner that drives decision making
