R&D Bioinformatics is seeking a talented Data Scientist to work on precision medicine, large clinical-genomic data and predictive model to transform healthcare industry. You will work in an interdisciplinary team consists of oncology domain experts, software engineers, database experts and other data scientists to develop and implement novel approaches in translational medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for building predictive data models with clinical-genomic data and delivering oncology content from clinical records to support company’s Business Development teams’ needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead the effort of transforming patients’ clinical and genomic data to build precision medicine knowledge base
  • Build machine learning or deep learning models to explore existing clinical-genomic datasets
  • Analyze pharmaceutical requests and deliver related content to Business Development team
  • Publish research work in timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Ph.D. in Oncology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Informatics or related field with a minimum 2 years of relevant post-graduate experience
  • Must have strong coding proficiency in Python, SQL, and/or R programming languages with a minimum 2 years of hand-on experience
  • Knowledge of advanced machine learning methodologies
  • Experience in scientific writing with at least 1 first author paper published in high impact journal(s)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Hands on experience with clinical and genomic data is preferred
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech is preferred
  • Experience with AWS, Redshift is preferred
  • Experience with NLP is preferred
  • Experience with RWD analysis is preferred
