The In-Home Supportive Services+ Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (IHSS+ ADRD) Training Project is looking for an experienced Research Data Analyst with a full understanding of in-depth statistical analyses and research software programming techniques (e.g., SPSS, STATA, or SAS). The IHSS+ ADRD Training Project is a community-engaged evaluation project with the objective of addressing the burden on older adults and their caregivers as well as the economic costs associated with ADRD within California's Medi-Cal funded IHSS system. We are at the early phases of data analysis.
The Research Data Analyst will take the lead in applying appropriate statistical analysis of longitudinal data. There are several sources of project data that include: training enrollment data; pre/post/follow-up caregiver surveys, longitudinal healthcare utilization data of care recipients, and pairing data between caregivers and their care recipients.
The Research Data Analyst will manage the data and conduct analyses to ensure data values are within range and meet assumptions for the statistical procedures to be used, demonstrate good judgement in selecting analytic methods and techniques to meet the project’s objectives, and recommends statistical approaches for obtaining solutions. The Research Data Analyst will also participate in report writing, presentations, and journal publications (i.e., writing and interpreting results).

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

The Institute for Health & Aging (IHA) is an organized research unit at the University of California, San Francisco. The work of the Institute includes extensive and successful research, training, and public service in the areas of bioethics, aging, and health policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Thorough skills associated with statistical analysis.
- Thorough skills in analysis and consultation.
- Skills to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner both verbally and in writing.
- Skills in project management.
- Research skills at a level to evaluate alternate solutions and develop recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher
- Thorough knowledge of program evaluation and community-engaged participatory research function.
