Data Engineer (f/m/d)

For our Content Analytics and Enrichment team located in Bonn ( https://www.patentsight.com/about-patentsight ) we are looking for a passionate Data Engineer that is enthusiastic to extract valuable insights from large amounts public patent data. You will be responsible for organizing our data transformation and distribution workflows. Together with data scientists you will design machine learning workflows that are robust to large amount of data, frequent updates and outliers. You will use SQL and Python on databricks notebooks and SQL code on relational databases.
3+ years’ experience in data management area with technical competencies demonstrated.
Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required); or equivalent experience required.
Required: 2+ years of professional experience with SQL development
Optional: Experience with T-SQL, Python, XML, .NET, UML.
Optional: Experience with big data computation platforms, e.g. Apache Spark, Hadoop, Azure Synapse or Databricks
Optional: Experience with a ETL orchestration framework, e.g. SSIS, Azure data factory, Azure Synapse, AWS data pipeline, Stitch or Talend
File management skills and logic.
Strong oral and written communications skills in English.
Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds in a constantly changing environment
Ability and desire to learn new processes, tools, and technologies
