About the Position

The Data & Analytics Team is a self-governing, empowered team who believes in the Agile principals of delivering early and often, inspecting, and adapting. Duties

As part of your duties, you will:

• Collaborate with our Data & Analytics Manager, to ensure the overall health and usability of our data assets to empower organizational awareness and facilitate business user consumption
• Partner with staff, leadership and other stakeholders as a subject matter expert to explore business questions through data
• Share your knowledge via business user training, peer mentoring, and friendly how-to documentation
• Leverage strong communication skills in translating raw data into insights and narrative
• Provide support in assessing and continuously improving our information architecture according to industry best practices
• Collaborate with our Infrastructure Team, to ensure the privacy, security and integrity of our data

Qualifications

At a minimum, you have:

• 3+ years of relevant experience working in high-performing, collaborative teams
• Strong skills in SQL
• Familiarity with data visualization tools
• Deep understanding of relational database structures and best practices
• Experience with synthesizing data from across multiple systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A passion for process improvement and an iterative approach to work

Ideally you also have experience with:

• Administering Tableau Server or Online for an enterprise-wide deployment
• Tools for data consumption and preparation (ETL)
• Managing cloud-based data architectures, specifically in AWS

It would be awesome if you also had:

• Working knowledge of Python
• Familiarity with data ingestion via APIs
• Experience creating custom data visualizations in tools like chart.js or D3
• Industry certifications in database administration or data management
