About The Role

The Data Analyst will be joining the Customer Data office and will play a crucial role within an ongoing data uplift programme. Liaise with a variety of technical and business stakeholder and the DevSecOps squad to ensure the insights are understood and actionable - some of the responsibilities include:

  • Analyse and collate complex datasets to support technical requirements and data uplift initiatives
  • Leverage your technical skills to perform sophisticated distributional and statistical insights and analytics work to support business initiatives
  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into informative dashboards
  • Ensure dashboard infrastructure and assets are maintained to meet stakeholder SLAs
  • Investigate and resolve any data quality issues that emerge from upstream data processing issues

Be Impactful When You Are Applying

The aim of this cross functional squad is to uplift data capability, modelling and governance across EnergyAustralia as we continue along our cloud data journey. This role will require some of the following competencies:

  • Tertiary Qualification in computer science, data science or statistics or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent significant practical experience
  • Proven experience in data analysis, with strong skills in SQL, Excel, Python and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Broad knowledge of cloud data systems and products and experience in delivery of data projects (exposure to PowerBI, Redshift, Databricks, AWS & Azure DevOps a big plus)
  • Great written and verbal communication skills with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business
  • Exposure to DevSecOps delivery/environments (desired but not mandatory)
