The Role

As a head of data engineering at this company, your responsibilities would include:

• Ensuring that data is managed and analysed in a secure, efficient way
• Being part of a full member of the Data and Advanced Analytics leadership team
• Working with other senior team members to identify, plan, develop and deliver data services
• Leading a team- establish new data sources, write, and transform data pipelines
• Demonstrating leadership, with a constant willingness to improve and evolve
• Providing progress and feedback to the business- within technology on delivery and technical compromise

Your Skills and Experience

• You should have experience leading a team of data engineers
• You must have a BSc in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other related subject
• Excellent knowledge of Data Warehouse and Data platform technology- hands on experience with Python and SQL
• You should have experience with AWS or Azure
• You should have professional experience with big data and analytical tools
• Data modelling experience
