Overview:
AIR is currently seeking a Human Resources Data Analyst to join our Human Resources team.

Candidates hired for the position might initially start working remotely but will eventually have the option to work from one of our offices located in Arlington, VA; Rockville, MD; Columbia, MD, Washington, DC or continue to work remotely.

The Human Resources Data Analyst is responsible for providing critical analysis and evaluation to support the operations of the Human Resources (HR) Department within the organization. The incumbent in this role will utilize reporting, data mining, and data interpretation abilities combined with clear presentation methods to identify and build on areas of improvement-supporting HR initiatives and business goals.
Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning
  • Collaborate with management to identify data, reporting, and metric-driven initiatives to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Develop data project requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships across the organization.
  • Facilitate collaboration between HR and other departments.
  • Participate in solution implementation planning.


Operational
  • Integrate data from multiple data sets, analyze and interpret complex data sets and make findings relevant and actionable for stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and accurate management reporting and analysis of data to create value for HR and the organization.
  • Review and define HR reporting metrics and tools.
  • Analyze HR processes, systems, and control measures to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and visual presentations for requests and requirements
  • Work on special projects as required.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR and business trends, technologies, and analytics trends.
  • Support HR data security initiatives.
  • Document data flows and elements between various systems.

Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred degree in Business or Human Resources, or related field.
  • 2 + years’ experience in an analytical role.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets identifying trends, and reporting conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Knowledge and experience with statistical analysis methods.
  • Experience generating graphs, tables, and other information displays.
  • Experience plotting data against defined performance indicators for dashboard tools.
  • Knowledge of information security protocols and technology.
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office (using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated skills in SQL, as well as in QlikView (preferred) or similar system such as Tableau.
