Reporting to the Head of Analytics you will make a significant contribution to our ability to deliver analytics using Tableau to guide decision making. You will collect business requirements and develop insights into our data. In addition you will be involved in a range of data work in the team, including support on regulator reporting and other ad-hoc needs.   • Develop an understanding of commercial business needs and drivers.
  • Support the Head of Analytics to deliver strong analytics and insights within Future Finance.
  • Use data analysis to support commercial optimisation and management of our products.
  • Support the design, monitoring, and enhancement of the credit and fraud risk models.
  • Build out customised data models and algorithms to apply to company credit, underwriting, collections, marketing, and fraud models and other business needs.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques, including from external parties such as credit reference agencies.
  • Support the use of data within the business, assisting with solving and automating business needs via the smart use of automated dashboards.
  • Play an active part ensuring data is at the heart of our business model to drive excellence within our unique proposition.
  • Provide data to meet regulator requests (e.g. FCA, CBI).


  • Financial services data analytics experience. Even better if it’s within the credit risk, payments, or fraud areas.
  • Experience building dashboards and data visualisation for internal stakeholders – knowledge of Tableau is preferred (at minimum an online enterprise Analytics tool).
  • Preference for being a self-learner.
  • Prefer to work in a smaller less structured environment where you work will make an impact.
  • Previously delivered data insights.
  • Understand the principles behind big data, machine learning and AI: Regression, Random Forest, Neural Networks, Gradient Boosting, Clustering algorithms, etc…
  • Data toolset including: Excel, Tableau, SQL, Python and BI tools.
  • Some experience in developing data products on PostgresSQL and/or SQL Server databases.
  • Strong root cause analysis, able to break apart problems, design and implement effective solutions.
  • Degree in a STEM subject (e.g. statistics, mathematics, econometrics or physics).
