As a Senior Data Scientist at IAS, you will be part of a team that is a center of innovation for the company and a major contributor to the company's core products. You will join a diverse group of data scientists working on a variety of`challenging projects within the larger data science organization. Creativity and innovation are at the heart of the role. This work is not a predictable series of tasks. You should expect to think out of the box and take the initiative to do your own experimentation, testing, validation, and automation. Failure is not discouraged, but what is expected is that you will build upon the knowledge you acquire and doggedly rework solutions to ultimate success. Your work will have a significant impact on the IAS business, leading to additional value and ROI for IAS clients.

What you'll get to do:

  • Build and maintain systems that can detect signals or anomalies in IAS data, tell stories behind the data that will feed back into the business. In particular, help mitigate risk against technological errors that could have negative consequences to revenue and reputation.
  • Help redesign predictive technology that is literally at the center of the IAS verification business and used by almost every product
  • Work with a variety of data sources to build production-ready ML models
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate solutions within larger engineering workflows
  • Effectively communicate results from ML models and statistical learnings to a variety of stakeholders within R&D and product organizations

You should apply if you have most of this experience:

  • Advanced degree in a relevant technical field (machine learning, computer science, statistics, physics, mathematics, or related field)
  • 8+ years industry experience in applying machine learning techniques to real-world problems
  • Experience working with a U.S. based company
  • Experience in ad-tech
  • Experience with source control workflows and deploying ML models in production
  • You have led and owned a few large projects end-to-end, from business problem framing to execution and delivery.
  • Comfort manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
  • Proficiency with at least one scripting language such as R
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience working with cloud environments: AWS, GCP, etc
  • Experience working with distributed computing tools (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc.)
  • Experience with at least some of the following machine learning libraries: scikit-learn, H2O, SparkML, etc
