Senior Data Engineer

Starting date: as soon as possible

Our compensation package: €85,000 composed of €70,000 - €75,000 in yearly salary, €5,000 - €10,000 in equity, and up to €5,000 p.a. in company benefits

Office location: Munich, Germany

Your role

You build the data infrastructure for the first generation of smart industrial MRI systems. You design and maintain ETL pipelines, data storage solutions, and AI model training datasets, ensuring that our data infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and future-proof. You help pave the way for a revolutionary approach to industrial imaging and data management.

Your day to day

In your daily activities, you will:
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to ingest MRI data and other relevant information as part of various data collection programs
  • Develop robust database schemas and manage SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Collaborate closely with AI scientists, software engineers, and MRI experts to define requirements for data storage and manipulation
  • Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code for data service
  • Work on cloud-based solutions to ensure data is stored securely and can be easily accessed for analytics and AI training
  • Develop APIs to facilitate data access for different teams and systems
  • Build automated tests and monitoring systems for the data infrastructure, and conduct analyses to ensure optimal operation
  • Provide technical guidance to the team
  • Identify potential areas of risk and vulnerabilities in the system and take proactive measures to mitigate them

As a Senior Data Engineer you become part of our diverse Software team, with teammates from nine different countries. Tool knowledge
  • You are an experienced Python developer with a focus on data manipulation and pipeline construction
  • Expertise in ETL process management, with hands-on experience in various ETL tools
  • Proficient in database management, both SQL and NoSQL
  • You have deployed and managed services on cloud platforms like GCP or AWS
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience in developing APIs for data extraction and manipulation
  • Proficient in using containerization tools like Docker and orchestration solutions like Kubernetes
  • Experience in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark is a plus
