Data Analyst for Software Licensing

cBEYONData is seeking a Data Analyst to support a new, exciting requirement to help the US Army optimize software licensing. As a Data Analyst specializing in Software License Analysis, you will be responsible for providing critical insights and support. You will leverage data analysis techniques to optimize software licensing agreements, ensure compliance and maximize cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze data related to software licenses, usage and costs
• License Optimization: Identify opportunities for optimizing software license agreements to reduce costs while maintaining compliance
• Negotiation Support: Assist software license negotiations by arming leaders with data-driven insights
• Compliance Monitoring: Support software license compliance analysis across the organization
• Reporting: Generate reports and dashboards to visualize and communicate key findings to stakeholders
• Recommendations: Provide recommendations for software license management improvements based on data analysis

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Secret security clearance required
• 1-5 years of experience in Data Science field
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Technology, Business or related field
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst. Software license analysis and negotiations a major plus
• Strong data visualization skills
• Knowledge of software licensing models and agreements
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Federal experience preferred
• Master's degree in Data Science or a related field
• Relevant certifications in software asset management (e.g., SAM, ITIL)
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL)
• Experience working with software asset management (SAM) tools
