As the Data Analyst, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders across Macquarie's Capital’s global divisions, regions, and businesses to help our Group Data Office to build industry-leading data, analytics, and reporting solutions.
What impact will you have?
As the Data Analyst you will collect data requirements for data analysis purposes and able to effectively articulate and communicate data outputs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Day to day, you will be responsible for:
- Translating data analysis, trends, and results into business insights for stakeholders
- Performing data remediation investigations and produce high quality data insights
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, database administrators and data managers
- Provide support and participate in testing activities such as unit and UAT testing, data validations
What skills will you use?
To be successful in the role, you will bring with your functional experience assisting with data-driven projects in the Financial Services sector and proven ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Other relevant skills and experience may include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, an interest in solving interesting and complex problems
- Proficient in SQL and a general understanding data warehouses
- Data modelling concepts
- Knowledge of data governance processes and tools and data risk management
