This is a salaried, full-time position working in Asheville, NC. Position will have the opportunity to work remotely on occasion.


The Marketing Analyst position is responsible for utilizing both internal and external data to better understand our business and communicate that knowledge so business performance can be improved. Primary responsibility will include data collection/management, report development/maintenance/automation, and analyzing data to assist with understanding business results and trends. The candidate may also assist with forecasting for the Destination Business, and provide general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and company as required.


Essential Job Duties:


  • Maintain and update existing reports and analysis tools to ensure efficient, accurate, and effective reporting and analysis.
  • Develop new reporting and analysis based on business needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within the Destination Business data sources.
  • Review and analyze internal visitation and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Prepare and validate summary website data reports for Marketing Managers, providing KPI's to inform decisions and drive results for the Destination Business.
  • Assist members of the Destination Marketing and cross-functional teams with measuring the effectiveness of product offerings, pricing, promotions, and traditional and digital media channels.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Assist with forecasting and reporting on the Destination Business as needed.
  • Assist the Director of Decision Support & Analytics with projects as needed.
  • Keep abreast of the newest innovations and developments to the analytics industry with continual training and education.


Qualifications:


  • A four-year college degree is required. The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of related marketing/sales analysis experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Must be proactive, resourceful, and creatively problem solve. Good judgment and the ability to anticipate, troubleshoot, and address issues are required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; must be able to present technical and other information clearly, concisely, and effectively to a variety of different audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required. Knowledge of SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics/statistical software such as R or Python is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and MS Power BI a plus.
  • Should have a keen attention to detail with a focus on quality, and be able to prioritize and focus on multiple projects with deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of world class internal and external guest service, and be able to represent Biltmore in a professional manner consistent with company standards.


Physical Requirements:


  • Works in an office environment spending the majority of the time working on a computer; should be able to sit for extended periods of time.
