As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Take responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability, and security of specific subsets of data.
- Assess the integrity of data from multiple sources, including data from sensors, measurement systems, or ticketing systems.
- Maintain and implement information handling procedures.
- Enable the availability, integrity, and searchability of information through the application of formal data structures and protection measures.
- Manipulate specific data from information services to satisfy local or specific information needs.
- Investigate enterprise data requirements and apply data analysis, data modeling, and quality assurance techniques to establish, modify, or maintain data structures and their associated components.
- Provide advice and guidance to database designers and others using the data structures and associated components.
- Utilize designated data analysis software to analyze data and write reports to support decision-making at the senior level.
- Participate in projects to gather data for needs analysis, designing blueprints on how to structure, store, and utilize data.
- Design, create, and test SQL reports using SSRS, Power BI, and Excel, and validate report functionality with internal staff/end users.
- Design and develop ETL processes, data models, and data warehouses.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services).
- Experience with data warehouse design and ETL processes.
- Working experience with SharePoint (administration experience is desirable).
- Competence and experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, or R.
- Experience with dashboard development on Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Familiarity with BMC ITSM/ITSM data.
- ITIL v3 or higher certification.
- Experience with the BMC Remedy Smart Reporting tool.
- Assess common problems and obstacles surrounding data gathering and customize data fields to meet client needs.
- Interpret and explain the results of data-gathering initiatives.
- Participate in software development processes by investigating data requirements.
- Follow standards, processes, and methodologies to develop each phase of data architecture.
- Detect and summarize patterns in data and produce reports.
- Respond to users to troubleshoot and/or improve existing reports.
