Sirris is looking for several new Data Scientists to join its Data and AI Competence Lab in Brussels. In that function, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of topics in the context of collaborative and multi-disciplinary R&D projects, and you will help companies to innovate:
You will contribute to industrially-driven research projects in the domain of data analytics.
You will help companies with defining, setting up and evaluating data experiments.
You will be working together with our industrial and research partners to develop data-driven solutions for problems in many diverse application domains such as renewable energy, manufacturing, smart environments, etc.
In addition, you will discuss and write new project proposals with companies and research partners, you will contribute to project reporting and to the organisation of dissemination events towards companies, etc. There’s always a nice challenge ahead.

Knowledge about the following is a plus: statistical and machine learning tools such as scikit-learn and Pandas, non-relational databases such as MongoDB or time series databases such as InfluxDB.
You have an excellent command of English and are able to clearly formulate arguments and reasoning. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
And most of all: you are a fast learner that keeps on learning, improving, innovating in a continuously changing and fast-growing environment.
