Compensation range: TBD based on experience with large scale enterprise network performance metrics, network data traffic analysis, data quality assurance and healthcare IT standards experience.
Relocation: Not paid
The System Performance Data Analyst must be able to conduct performance metrics analysis of internal and external client electronic health information exchange message traffic across the client networks. It also includes working with client stakeholders and client system managers to engage in daily monitoring activities that will result in efficiency improvements. They will make assessment of system dashboards and identify key performance issues to be utilized for system and software improvements as well as for acknowledgement of successes. Individual must be able to:
Work to improve interoperability performance metrics that could be measured by services implementing various standards, and to amend those standards.
Establish and author policies and procedures on actions to be taken based on performance metrics alerts generated.
- Establish a process by which to communicate, and present performance and quality issues with partners and to negotiate solutions to alleviate the problem. Must be comfortable presenting to an audience.
Create reports or “scorecards” for interoperability partners and services involved in the location and retrieval of patient clinical data. Create “dashboards” showing overall system performance.
- Should have strong clinical interoperability, development cycle, customer support, presentation, and data analysis skills.
Required Educational Level:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistical Analysis, Data Management, Information Technologies, Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Degree in: Information Management, Computer Science, clinical or public health, or related field
Years of Experience: 3 - 5 years of enterprise data analysis on large networks, message traffic analysis, statistical analysis. MS Office suite required. MS Excel skills are a must. Power BI a bonus.
Educational Equivalents: Associate’s degree plus 4 years relevant experience may be substituted for a college degree.
The System Performance Data Analyst will support a major client system of systems interoperability program by collecting, cleaning, and reporting on performance data and reporting root cause analysis. The analyst must be able to provide useful reports on message traffic, identify bottlenecks in the transmission of data, provide recommendations for their correction and suggest improvements to speed of the message traffic.
Specifically, they shall engage with business and partner teams to help define the type of performance metrics that can help measure interoperability traffic and issues. The analyst shall develop policies and procedures for actions to be taken based on performance metrics alerts generated. The analyst shall refine a “scorecard” for measuring each partner performance and refine a “dashboard” showing overall system performance. The performance metrics are expected to be developed both incrementally and iteratively. The analyst shall deliver updated metrics, policies, and procedures monthly.
Skill sets required for this position
Working understanding of development cycles and user acceptance testing
Working knowledge of interoperability and industry standards
Experience leveraging system monitoring tools, (Excel, Access, Power BI, InterSystems DeepSee)
Experience in stakeholder communications between Business and IT
- Experience in Requirement specification for Development, and UAT processes
Experience using industry standard DEV / UAT testing tools for messaging
