Our client, leading Software, Information, and Communication Technologies company, with offices around the globe, is looking to hire a Data Analyst to join their innovative team in Stockholm, Sweden. They are a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations, and multinational companies, research, and academic institutes.


Requirements

  • University degree in a related field

  • Fluent in English

  • 3+ years of experience in data management and analysis

  • 3+ years of experience in handling large, complex data sets

  • 3+ years of experience in using R to perform data manipulation, data analysis, and data mining

  • Experience running R on Windows and Linux-based systems

  • Having received training in Microsoft SQL Server or any other SQL related tool is advantageous

  • Advanced programming knowledge in R including R Shiny and optimizing routine analyses of large datasets is an asset

  • Experience in the development of semi-automated repeat analyses and reports using R, R Markdown and/or R Shiny is an asset

  • Professional experience in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual context is advantageous

Responsibilities:

  • Support the production of COVID-19 surveillance outputs and surveillance reports

  • Publish data sets and Maps to support a coordinated approach to the restriction of movement in response to the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Produce the weekly COVID-19 country overview and surveillance reports, using existing R scripts on a weekly basis

  • Perform and optimise the data cleaning and validation processes by implementing the cleaning scripts, assessing outputs and addressing any identified issues

  • Develop further outputs to facilitate assessment of data quality as part of the weekly report production

  • Troubleshoot and optimize the scripts producing both reports

  • Support additional ongoing and new analyses of COVID-19 surveillance data by developing R code

  • Support the collection and analysis of COVID-19 related data from EU countries, and neighbouring countries when applicable

  • Create and perform the required analyses and visualisations using R

  • Support the process of launching and maintaining the existing analyses and models, and managing their outputs

  • Provide end-users and decision-makers with the expected results in line with agreed

  • timelines and automate the distribution of such results and ensure the maintenance of existing analysis reports.
