Role – Data Analyst Head Resourcing are delighted to be partnered with an innovative Scottish-founded e-commerce business who are looking to hire a Data Analyst to join them on their exciting journey. Our client has ambitious goals to scale over the next few years and take their business globally. This is a hybrid role which requires the successful candidate to be based from their Glasgow office three days per week. Our client requires an experienced Data Analyst who will play a pivotal role in optimising their advertising strategies and sales performance by leveraging data-driven insights. Your primary focus will be on analysing advertising data, identifying trends in sales data, and recommending improvements. Skills & experience required to be successful: Proven experience as Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy in data interpretation Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL or Python, and experience working with digital visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) Familiarity with advertising platforms and marketing analytics tools Qualification in Business/Data Analysis or a related field. The ability to perform actions on a SQL Server Database including: Structuring data tables and views for analysis Writing SQL queries to analyse and reformat data Common Table Expressions (CTEs) Conditional logic Prepare data to make it available in Power BI Be comfortable explaining data to the Executive Team Be comfortable carrying out regression analysis Understanding the importance of KPIs and statistics Known when to use R/Python/Excel/Power BI If this sounds of interest to you and you have experience with the skills listed above, please do not hesitate to contact us!
