Job Expectations
The Data Scientist job expectations typically ( 90 %-95% of the work ) include implementing data preprocessing, descriptive statistical methods and related data visualization using Python and support application troubleshooting service offerings in semiconductor manufacturing on proprietary analytical platforms, commercial software tools and custom scripts.
As a member of the engineering team, the candidate will understand, analyze, and integrate user specifications and document them, design and implement changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Create and execute integration and regression test plans. Communicate with stakeholders to discuss major changes to functionality. It may include applying statistical and programming skills for solving customer high-value problems through research and development.
Candidate in this role should be willing to learn and adopt semiconductor industry as their career domain . They should crossover and learn different subject areas such as Electronics, Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering , while also interested to handle large volume of data .
Specific Duties Include
The expected work is non-routine and very complex, involving deep understanding of the semiconductor process and tools. Responsibilities will include:
Designing and implementing robust applications
Writing effective and scalable Python codes
Debugging applications to fix bugs
Coordinating with the team over various requirements
Testing unit code and help with integration
Able to Share New Ideas
Ability Work as Team
Help to improve existing code quality and, test automation
Good knowledge of Python framework
Unix knowledge and/or semiconductor background is an added advantage.
Requirements
B.S/M.S./ M.Tech /Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, or any Engineering field
Work experience as a Semiconductor process engineer/analyst improving efficiency and quality, process transfer from development to production, applying analytical techniques for troubleshooting is added advantage
R elevant experience in software engineering
Must be a keen learner and demonstrate strong motivation and creative thinning
Good to have prior experience in data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis techniques such as Univariate/ Multivariate analysis to describe and summarize data
Must have organized and disciplined work culture – such as accurately submitting weekly hours, timely status reporting, adhering to programming standards
Must be able to show high level of accountability and cooperation. Ability to work as a team.
Must have good presentation skill
