Your challenges

Joining our Global Finance & Performance Management team at the VELUX headquarter in Hørsholm, you will join a dedicated and ambitious team where responsibility and empowerment are given to those who have the ability, in a dynamic, collaborative, and supportive environment. As our Data Analyst, you will join a matrix organisation where you will become an integral team member in the NWE region: Great Britain, Ireland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands & Belgium. Characterised by close business integration and execution, while being part of a Global Finance Organisation, you’ll gain the advantages of a global finance strategy, a high professional bar, and shared data systems and performance metrics. This is a versatile role with exposure to a broad range of stakeholders within the regional team and global functions. This role will report to the Finance Director for the NWE region.

Combining your analytical background with in-depth business knowledge, you will primarily be driving the following processes and tasks:

• Assessing, combining, and analysing data from a variety of sources, deriving insights on elements such as campaign and promotional ROI, variance analysis, margin and costing analysis, pricing structures and market trends.
• Forecasting revenue and market share information by applying a variety of statistical methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing and commercial strategies.
• Working closely with the Finance Business Partners and Regional Commercial team to develop insightful management reports and dashboards.
• Digitalizing and automating existing and new reporting requirements to the extent possible.
• Staying ahead of market trends and developments within the industry.
• Participating in global development projects and making sure they are executed in an efficient way throughout the region.
• Translating complex data into actionable recommendations.

Your qualifications

With your analytical mindset, you possess the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. We will come to know you as action-oriented and decisive. You are proactive, motivated by your tasks, and driven by a natural curiosity and desire to progress and improve. You have an open and forthcoming manner, and your collaboration and communication skills are outstanding – you can easily and clearly communicate complex ideas and information to other people in a way that is understandable. You work well within a team and can build a network within a large organisation.

Moreover, we expect that you:

• Hold a master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Economics, Finance, Engineering or similar.
• Have excellent mathematical and statistical modelling skills.
• Are a proficient user of SAP, MS Office and other relevant platforms and dashboards, e.g., SAC or Power BI.
• Have extensive and advanced Excel experience and the ability to handle large sets of data.
• Have 1-2 years of experience in a relevant statistical, pricing and/or analytics function. Alternatively, you are recent graduate with a strong academic record and some practical experience while studying.
• You have excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
• You are highly proficient in spoken and written English. Danish is not a requirement.
