Edinburgh Innovation - Global Open Finance Centre of Excellence
Fixed Term – 35 hours per week
We are looking for three Data Scientists to work with a growing Data Science team within the Global Open Finance Centre of Excellence (GOFCoE) on its it’s ground breaking work unlocking the power of financial data to improve lives.
GOFCoE is a collaboration between the University of Edinburgh, The Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA) and Fintech Scotland and will provide the foundation for projects operating at national and global levels. It will establish responsible and ethical research and innovation capabilities, training new talent to expand the sector, and build local national and international partnerships.
Working within the Data Safe Haven which is hosted by the Edinburgh Parallel Computing Centre (EPCC) the Data Scientists will contribute to the creation of a Global Economic Observatory, illuminating the way that people and businesses earn, save, spend and invest, and how this interacts with health, environment and other systems.
Your work will help inform and assess policy development and implementation by national, regional and local governments, as well as international bodies and organizations representing the interests of citizens, businesses, and other organizations.
